Beginner,Climbers who already know lead belaying are better.

This is an experiential workshop designed to help you understand the spirit of trad climbing, get hands-on experience with the gear, and learn what equipment to prepare and how to maintain it as a beginner.

  • - 8:30 AM at Hemei Elementary School, or another Longdong parking area (the exact location will be provided in the confirmation email sent three days before the activity).
  • - Optional round-trip shuttle service from Taipei Nangang is available for an additional NT$500 per person.
  • - Professional guide service with English-speaking support
  • - Shared trad climbing equipment (cams, nuts, main rope, alpine quickdraws)
  • - Specific activity insurance
  • - Not included: transportation/shuttle, meals, and personal climbing equipment (harness, helmet, belay device, climbing shoes)
  • - NOTE: Personal climbing gear can be rented for an additional fee.
  • - Specific activity insurance for each participant: NT$2,000,000 accidental death and disability coverage, and NT$200,000 injury medical expense coverage (actual expenses)
  • - All guides are trained in first aid and accident management
  • - Guide-to-participant ratio does not exceed 1:6, ensuring activity quality and safety standards
  • - We provide a full set of the group equipment; please follow the guide’s instructions to ensure safety
  • - Please wear comfortable, breathable outdoor clothing and bring a windproof or waterproof jacket to cope with the changeable coastal weather.
  • - It is recommended to prepare about 2 liters of drinking water, lunch, and sun protection (sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, etc.).
  • - Please bring your own personal equipment (helmet, harness, climbing shoes).
  • - If you have any special needs or health conditions, please inform us in advance during registration so we can make appropriate arrangements.
  • - To help you prepare with confidence, we will send a complete pre-departure notice three days before the trip, including weather advice and final reminders.

Trip Cancellation or Rescheduling Due to Weather

  • - Force Majeure: If the trip cannot proceed due to events such as a land typhoon warning, earthquake, cold wave, heavy rain advisory (as defined by the Central Weather Administration), road closures, or restrictions imposed by management authorities, a refund will be issued after deducting a 5% administrative fee.
  • - Poor Weather Forecast: If adverse weather such as continuous rain or an incoming cold front may affect the trip quality, we will conduct a comprehensive assessment. The final decision will be announced no later than 3 days before departure. If we decide to cancel the trip, a refund will be issued after deducting a 5% administrative fee.

Cancellation Due to Personal Reasons

  • - Cancel 14 days before departure: Refund minus a 5% administrative fee.
  • - Cancel 8–13 days before departure: 20% of the booking fee will be deducted.
  • - Cancel 3–7 days before departure: 30% of the booking fee will be deducted.
  • - Cancel within 2 days of departure: No refund.

Minimum Participant Requirement

  • - If the minimum participant number is not reached and the trip is canceled, participants may choose to reschedule for free or receive a refund with a 5% administrative fee deducted.
